Some love stories are the things that dreams are made of. Nancy and Kyle are hands down one of those incredible stories and compares to even the best of romantic movies. This story couldn’t be any more perfectly Canadian. Hockey player boy meets gorgeous and successful girl, they fall in love and marry in the most beautiful area of Ontario. It is my absolute pleasure to share this incredible story…and Nancy’s beautiful smile which continues to fill my heart with warmth.

“from opposite sides of north america, the met and fell in love in hamilton, and their love (and work) has taken them all over. half of the year they reside in arizona, usa, so i wanted tried to find the best place i could think of in ontario to bring them back. we went to the badlands for the soft red rock and rolling hills; while taking advantage of the beautiful scenery that surrounds the town of cheltenham. nancy and kyle are extreme romantics and love to keep their lives very private; but she has allowed me to share some of the photographs from our session together, enjoy”.

As I was driving home from Toronto Thursday I was thinking about my personal blog post for this week. I had planned a bright and witty rebuttal to a blog post I had read on the net all about wedding magazines…then it came to me…International Women’s Day!

As I began to muse on all of the women I run across, and count on everyday I started to get a little verklempt. I thought, it is high time that I thank them. Without these incredible women my family, business and creative path quite simply, would not be what it is today.

On this International Women’s Day…

Thank you so much to the women who greet me every morning with my double milk, triple sugar and shot of hazelnut at the Tim Horton’s drive thru…you are the best.

To Violet for your smile, wave and corralling my chatty boys…and to Joy and Ellie for your love of children and commitment to teaching.

Thank you to all of the kick butt women editors and admin teams that work tirelessly to bring the news, blogs and magazines to my feeds and that inspire me everyday.

To all of my women colleagues who make to upwards of 90% of this incredible industry. Those women who work their fingers to the bone, kiss their kids good night at 3 am after they sneak in after an event strike down, find the strength to put a smile on their face for their clients after losing a parent 4 days earlier and that pull off an amazing fete with a 103 degree fever. You never cease to amaze and inspire me.

Thank you to all of my incredible women clients…the love you share with your partners is the Ooh in my La La…

To my Mom…our paths haven’t always been the same…I am so happy that we now walk one together.
